A Message from the Provincial Grand Master of Leicestershire and Rutland

I would like to extend a very warm and fraternal welcome to our website. I hope you will find it informative whether you are interested in Freemasonry in general, wish to become a member or are already a Freemason.
Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations with over 250,000 Freemasons meeting in more than 8,000 Masonic lodges throughout England and Wales. Our values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness.
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Leicestershire and Rutland is responsible for administering Freemasons’ Lodges that meet in the Leicestershire and Rutland area. In Leicestershire and Rutland, we have nearly 3,000 members meeting in Lodges across the two Counties.
Freemasonry provides a unique environment for people from all backgrounds to learn skills, make lasting friendships, achieve their potential and, above all, have fun. We also make a major contribution to society through our own charities, as well as through donations to UK charities and worldwide disaster relief funds, with members also playing an active role in our local community. More about our charitable work can be found here.
We are always interested in welcoming new members and you can find out more about Freemasonry and how to join here.
David V. Hagger, Provincial Grand Master for Leicestershire and Rutland
