Freemasons Roar on the Leicester Tigers

On Saturday 4th January a dozen members of Reynard Lodge 9285, plus family & friends attended the Leicester Tigers v Bristol Bears Premiership fixture at Welford Road.

Reynard Lodge No.9285 who meet in Syston, Leicestershire, are the Sporting Lodge of the Province and have a tradition of visiting various sporting events within the City & beyond.

With the match tickets being kindly donated by W.Bro. John Kelly of Leicester wealth management company Mattioli Woods PLC, the event raised over £300 towards the 2022 Festival Appeal, which has a goal of raising £1.8m for local charitable causes by the end of 2022.

The Lodge Master, Henk Van de Beek commented, “It is important for a Lodge to maintain an active social programme if we are to maintain our existing members whilst attracting new members."

Festival Chairman W.Bro. Dale Page added, “Today highlights the wide and varied opportunities to raise vital funds for our Festival. Benefiting both the overall appeal & the Lodge’s contribution.”

Further visits are planned to Leicester Riders, LCFC & of course the annual trip to Grace Road in the summer.
