The recently formed Leicestershire & Rutland Clay Pigeon Shooting Association came away from a recent shoot with the cup for Best High Gun in the veterans category.
Since the formation of the team earlier this year by Garry Symonds, the interest from the members of Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons has grown rapidly, enabling the team to compete in national shoots.
The Masonic National Championships took place on the 22nd June 2019 at High Lodge Shooting School, Haw Wood Hinton in Suffolk, with three members of the Provincial team making the journey to take part and show their skills behind a trigger.
For the first outing of the team, expectations were exceeded as Paul Reeve from the Castle of Leicester Lodge No.7767 won the cup for the Best High Gun in the veterans category.
The next date for the team to further impress is the 7th September for the International Masonic Clay Pigeon shoot at Doveridge.
