PGM Leads the Toast to Absent Brethren at 9pm

Updated: Apr 20, 2020

Freemasons from around Leicestershire & Rutland gathered online to raise a glass as part of a traditional toast carried out at 9pm to all Freemasons and families wherever they are in the world. On this occasion, the toast was led by Peter Kinder, the Provincial Grand Master of Leicestershire & Rutland, which can be seen in the video below.

Peter thanked everyone for working hard to ensure that this period of isolation does not leave anyone in need whilst they are alone, by making phone calls, video chats, or sending a letter, every little helps. He went on to say, "I am sure that you will all join with me in thanking all of our staff at Devonshire Court, our Masonic Home in Oadby, together with all NHS staff who are All working so hard on our behalf.

Thank you for your continued support, we all look forward to the time when this dreadful virus is stamped out, I am 100% sure that if we all follow the advice we are given it will be, we can then all return to our Lodges and Masonic business, stronger than we were before."
